SAT Cross-Text Connections study notes
Read each text on its own first. Write a five-word version of Text 1’s claim and Text 2’s claim. The interesting part is often partial agreement: one writer accepts a benefit but adds a condition, missing cost, or different priority.
Worked example
Text 1 says scanned maps help scholars compare many documents quickly. Text 2 agrees but says a scan can hide repairs in the paper. How does Text 2 respond?
Text 2 accepts the access and comparison benefit while warning that some questions require inspection of the physical map. It does not reject digitization wholesale.
